Description

  • Raw Material Selection: High-quality roots of Panax ginseng (or Panax quinquefolius, depending on the type) are sourced from certified farms. Mature roots aged 4–6 years are preferred due to their high concentration of active ginsenosides.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: The harvested roots are thoroughly washed to remove soil and debris. Damaged or decayed roots are discarded during the sorting process.
  • Drying: Roots are sun-dried or dried using controlled hot air methods to preserve their phytochemical properties and prevent microbial growth.
  • Grinding / Pulverization: The dried ginseng roots are crushed and milled into fine powder to facilitate efficient solvent penetration during extraction.
  • Extraction Process: The powdered roots undergo hydro-alcoholic extraction (water and ethanol) in stainless steel extractors. Controlled heat and agitation help dissolve.
  • Filtration and Concentration:The extract solution is filtered to separate solid residues. The filtrate is concentrated under reduced pressure using vacuum evaporators at low temperature to preserve ginsenosides.
  • Purification: Further purification is performed using techniques such as membrane filtration or adsorption resins to enhance the ginsenoside concentration.
  • Drying and Standardization: The concentrated extract is spray dried or freeze dried to obtain a free-flowing powder.
  • Packaging and Storage: The final product is packed in HDPE drums or aluminum-lined bags with moisture barriers. Stored in cool, dry conditions away from light and heat.
