Description

  • Raw Material Selection: Mature stems of Tinospora cordifolia (commonly known as Guduchi or Giloy) are carefully sourced from trusted suppliers or certified organic farms. The stems are preferred due to their high concentration of bioactive compounds like alkaloids, glycosides, and diterpenoid lactones.
  • Cleaning and Preparation: The harvested stems are washed thoroughly to remove dust, dirt, and any foreign matter. They are then cut into smaller pieces to facilitate efficient drying and extraction.
  • Drying: The cleaned stems are shade-dried under controlled environmental conditions to retain their active constituents and prevent degradation due to heat and sunlight.
  • Grinding / Pulverization: Once dried, the stems are pulverized into a fine powder using stainless steel grinders to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.
  • Extraction Process: The powder undergoes solvent extraction using water or a hydro-alcoholic solution under specific temperature and pressure settings. This process helps in extracting key bioactive compounds such as tinosporin, cordifolioside, and other immunomodulatory agents.
  • Filtration and Concentration: The extract is filtered to separate the liquid extract from the solid residue. The filtrate is then concentrated under vacuum to remove excess solvent and obtain a semi-solid or thick extract.
  • Drying and Standardization: The concentrated extract is spray-dried or vacuum-dried to produce a free-flowing powder. It is then standardized to a specific percentage of active compounds, commonly 5% to 10% bitters or alkaloids.
  • Packaging and Storage: The standardized Guduchi extract is packed in moisture-proof, light-resistant containers and stored in cool, dry conditions to ensure shelf-life and potency.
